A-70-year old epileptic man of Isoka district has died after falling off from a tree, Muchinga Province Commissioner of Police Joel Njase has confirmed.

Mr Njase said the incident occurred on Sunday at 09:30 hours at Milongo Settlement Area in Milongo Village in Chief Kafwimbi’s area.He said Weston Kaira aged 37 of the same village reported that his father-in-law Patrick Ng’ambi 70 fell from a tree and died on the spot.“Brief facts are that Patrick Ng’ambi was an epileptic patient who was seen pruning branches of trees with an axe in his yard,” Mr Njase said.Mr Njase said onlookers believed that the deceased climbed one of the trees and started cutting off the branches and incidentally fell down causing him to sustain head injuries and die on the spot.“Acting on this report, Officers rushed to the scene and the found the body laying in a pool of blood under a tree, an axe was found at the scene on the ground just near the dead body,”he said.He said physical inspection of the dead body observed that he sustained injuries in the head and he was bleeding from the nose and mouth. The Commissioner of Police said the onlookers at the scene added that because of his epileptic condition, Patrick Ng’ambi now the deceased had an unusual behavior like he was mentally challenged. He said the body of the deceased has since been collected and conveyed to Isoka district hospital Mortuary for post-mortem examination.
