ZAMBIA State Insurance Corporation (ZSIC) Life has joined other companies to partner in supporting the hosting of the Zanaco masters golf tournament which tees off today. ZSIC head of marketing and public Relations Jacob Chirwa said his firm was proud to be associated with Masters Golf Tournament as a bronze sponsor. He observed that since the tournament has become one of the leading sports showpieces not only in the Country but the region, his company was proud to be a part of the event. “We have observed with keen interest the evolution of this tournament over the years with some of the best talent on the tour coming to participate,‘’ he said. Sports events such as the ZANACO masters provide a twofold benefit , an opportunity for the local golfers to participate and compete with some of the best talent on the tour on one hand as well as an opportunity for our communities to unite regardless of social status, ’’ he said. Chirwa further said that ZSIC life has for a long time supported sports activities in Zambia thereby contributing to sports development in the Country. He said that his company looks forward to a day when the Zambia Open will be won by a local player adding that this can only be achieved if corporate companies collaborate in supporting the development of local talent. Chirwa said that his company has also part sponsored the live broadcast of the tournament on ZNBC TV so that youths from across the Country can be encouraged to take up golf. “Our support to this event extends to the live broadcast of the tournament on ZNBC so that the youths from across the country can be encouraged to take up golf,’’ he said,’’

Sports remains a priority for the company because of the value it places on health and longevity among citizenry.
