MATHEWS NDANDULA writes

ZANACO will bounce back to its winning ways when the new season starts Zanaco Football Club Supporters chairman Chrispin Malata has confidently predicted.

Speaking in an interview Mr Malata said the singing of the 2012 Africa Cup winning player Chisamba Lungu will add flavour into the team.

“We had a chance to play continental if all the games had been played last season but the Football Association of Zambia saw it prudent to cut short the league due to Covid-19,” he said.

“However, this season as supporters we want to see our team back in the winning ways, we want to win the league and play continental football. With the coming in of players like the experienced Chisamba Lungu and Evans Katemba the Zimbabwean striker plus others I think our team will make us proud.”

Malata, who was recently elected as chairman, for Zanaco FC Supporters association said Coach Chris Kaunda will now have a chance to start a new season with the team as last season he picked it in the middle, though he tried to bring in positive results. And asked about Charles Zulu ‘s
departure to the South Africa Premier league, Malata proudly said Zanaco Football club is the only team that sells players outside the country every season.

He added tha the Banker’s exports do not go out to warm the bench but actually have game time, saying that itself shows that Zanaco has quality players o can Excel everywhere in the world.

Mr Malata has further asked the supporters to Larry behind the team.
