MUKWIMA CHILALA writes

Zambia Super league transitional league stream A leaders Zanaco Football Club will again be in the spot light when they host title chasers Kabwe Warriors in what could be a potential game of the weekend in week 15 today.

Warriors who also are potential title chasers remain the only unbeaten side this season.

The first leg of the two fixtures in Kabwe ended in a dramatic fashion with Warriors coming from behind to win the game- courtesy of a super sub Prince Mumba inspired stoppage minute goal.

The home-side Zanaco are favorites going into Saturday’s game as they look to inflict revenge on a team that handed the pacesetters their first defeat following a 3-2 dramatic win at Godfrey Chitalu stadium in week six of the Zambia super league.

A win for Warriors could shoot them to the summit of the table on 26 points but Warriors need to be on top of their game if they are to snatch a win at Sunset stadium, having struggled to collect maximum points in their previous game against Lusaka Dynamos.

On the other hand Zanaco Football club management are concerned with the team’s defence that has conceded goals almost in all the games they have played this season.

Club general manager Marlon Kananda and Club head coach Numba Mumamba were both quoted in the media expressing concern over the team’s defence following Saturday’s away 2-4 loss to Nakambala Leopards.

A win for Zanaco would push the current stream A pacesetters to 29 points after 15 games.
