CHILUFYA TAYALI posted on his
Facebook page:

Last time I was here, in Ethiopia, I couldn’t reach Tigray region due to COVID-19 restrictions, so I only ended up in Addis. This time around I am barred by the war in that region though Addis Ababa is peaceful and everything is going on normally. The question that many have been asking me is, “Why travel all the way, spending so much money plus the cumbersome COVID-19 restrictions at every point?”My simple response is #LOVE ❤❤❤ FOR MY WIFE AND I JUST WANT TO FEEL A LITTLE BIT CLOSER ALBEIT NOT SEEING OR TALKING TO THEM.There is no price too high for me to get closer to my wife and children. I have been restless and anxious since the war started. All forms of communication between us have been cut. Before the war, we used to call each other on an average of 2 hours apart, even at night, but now, not even a simple text 😭😭😭.I could say a lot about that war, but it is not in my place, Ethiopia is a sovereign country, all I can appeal for is peace so that innocent people can get back to their normal lives.I want to see my wife and daughter. They only came to visit our family, to introduce our new baby, but caught up in war and we are all suffering. 😭😭😭.My wife was born and bred in Addis Ababa but the mother now lives in Tigray region, that is why she went there.

I will prepare to go to Church and pray the that our Lord the King of the Universe will prevail over this war. I need my family back together again.

TAYALI THE MARRIED MAN – FAMILIES MUST COME FIRST!
