EPHRAIM CEASAR writes

A Lusaka’s Kanyama resident has dragged his wife to court for divorce after he caught her redhandedly committing adultery in their house.

Mwila Musonda 27, a bus conductor has sued his wife of 1 year, Juliet Nambeye, 25 a maid for divorce after catching her having sex with another man.

Facts before the court are that the two got married in June 2019 under traditional law with k2500 being dowry of which k500 was the only payment made by Musonda.

Musonda told the court that on unknown date but in August 2020 he had gone for work and left his wife sleeping.

Musonda said around 9:00 hours he decided to go home and eat something since his area of operation is near his house when he found his wife with another man having sex in his bed.

“kaili ine nina nvela njala so ndiye mwe nina yendela ku nyumbaati ni dyeko something, kupeza ku nyumba ni ko komewa, nabwela nasonjela pa window I saw my wife naked na guy wininango so pa mwamba pake,” Musonda said.

He said after he saw his wife with another man in his bed he decided to call a neighbor to bear witness.

“ba judge mutima ubaba pano nifuna che chikwati chisile, nimauka ku seni seni kuti ni provide food na rent na vonse veafuna but onani ve ani chita,” He said.

In her defense Nambeye did not deny the accusations saying she only did so because her husband cannot satisfy her in bed and that he has problems getting erections.

She said she tried to find help for her husband problem but that her husband has been refusing to seek help.

“Sinifuna kunveka monga ndine muntu oipa olo kapena we alibeulemu, ba muna banga niba konda but chikwati ni chani ngatimamuna na mukazi siba kumana,” she said.

Nambeye added that she is sorry and she does not want the marriage to end and that she is willing to find help for her husaband.

Meanwhile magistrate Mubukwanu Matalaka granted Musondadivorce with no compensation to either parties, but the two with assistance from families must equally share whatever properties they bought while together.

The court further asked Mr. Musonda to seek medical help if he truly has problems with his manhood as this may lead him to have unsuccessful marriages.
