MUKWIMA CHILALA writes

AS the euphoria for the return of the Zambia Super League keeps growing, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has released fixtures for the opening fixtures under the new normal that will see Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola play host to three games.

According to combined fixtures under the new normal released by FAZ, National Division One side Kitwe United will play host to Police College in an opener on slated for 13:00 hours on Saturday July 18.

Still in contention of the second tier title, United will be looking to continue with the same momentum that has seen the Kitwe side stay afloat in the top four of the competition and in the run for promotion back to the super league.

United will be looking to put behind its woes off the pitch that has seen the club make more headlines in the recent months as they play in an anticipated league resumption game.

The second fixture of the day will see log leaders Forest Rangers back to the turf against a resurgent Zanaco side who prior to the suspension of the games had gotten back to winning ways.

The opening Super league fixture is highly anticipated with so much play for on both sides of teams as Forest look to maintain momentum while Zanaco look to taking advantage of their games in hand and break into the top four.

Sunday will not be expected to produce much sparks as Zesco hosts low key Kansanshi Dynamos while in the curtain raiser of the day while Buildcon hosts Power Dynamos in the second game.
