HOME Affairs minister, Stephen Kampyongo, has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been placed in isolation at Chinsali General Hospital.
Ministry of Home Affairs public relations officer, Nephas Chifuta, announced the development to the Daily Nation.
“The Ministry of Home Affairs wishes to express its sadness and as well as inform the general public that the Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Stephen Kampyongo, has tested positive to Covid 19.
“He tested positive whilst in Shiwangandu and has since been put in isolation at Chinsali General Hospital where he is receiving treatment,” Mr Chifuta said.
Mr Kampyongo adds to the list of other cabinet ministers and senior Government officials who have tested positive to Covid-19.
