Eagles trio worry Chiyangi

GRACE CHAILE LESOETSA writes

COACH Aggrey Chiyangi has expressed worry with the continued falling form of Green Eagles three key players – Spencer Sautu, Tapson Kaseba and Ceasor Hakaluba. Speaking at a post-match conference after Eagles edged Buildcon 1-0 at Independence Stadium in Choma on Saturday, Chiyangi admitted that the trio needed to improve their performance as their below par showing had cost the team goals. Chiyangi said he had a one-on-one chat with winger Sautu, striker Kaseba and midfielder Hakaluba urging them to work harder as their performance had declined compared to last year. “Kaseba has not been in form and that’s a worry. He is no longer getting the goals and I have spoken to him about it. He needs to accept that he is not playing well and work on it. It is the same issue with Sautu and Ceasor, they are not in form. “I expect the performance of the three to be above the rest of the players since they are national team players. But with the way they are playing, they risk losing places at the national team,” he said. The trio was influential in Eagles 2018/2019 maiden CAF Confederation Cup qualification, with Kaseba ending the 2018 Super Division season as second top scorer with 19 goals. Meanwhile, Buildcon coach Serbian, Srdjan Zivojnov claimed his team played against 14 players. Zivojnov claimed the match-officials were biased in their officiating of the game. “We were playing against 14 players. Look at the goal we conceded, it was a clear offside and we were denied a penalty, “ So my boys played well, it’s only that they played against 14. But we will redeem ourselves in the next game against NAPSA Stars,” he said.

Eagles are on top of Stream B with nine points, two better than Buildcon.
