A CHOMA bricklayer has appeared in a magistrate’s court where he is facing one count of stock theft contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
Justine Munsaka, aged 39, is alleged to have stolen four cows valued at K16, 000 from Mr Austen Muleya.The theft is alleged to have happened on October 31 in Choma.When the matter was called for plea by Public Prosecutor Gerald Tembo, Munsaka denied the charge, compelling the court to record a plea of not guilty.Magistrate Muyambango Munukayumbwa granted Munsaka K5, 000 bail in his own recognisance with two suitable sureties to be bound in the like sum and in their own recognisance.The matter was adjourned to December 10 for mention and December 17 for trial.
Munsaka was remanded in custody and will only be released after he meets all the bail conditions.
