Dora Siliya

SIMON MUNTEMBA writes

MEMBERS of the public have been advised to be cautious and not be duped by offers from scammers using a fake green National Registration Card (NRC) of minister of Information and Broadcasting, Dora Siliya.

According to Zambia police public relations officer Esther Katongo, the scammers have also posted some application forms suggesting that the Ms Siliya was running an empowerment programme called Zambia Trust Fund Empowerment in Collaboration with Chanda Foundation.

Ms Katongo said the people should be alert and not fall for the tricks of the fraudsters whose intention was to defraud unsuspecting members of the public as Ms Siliya had never advertised such an empowerment scheme.

“We wish to alert members of the public that there are scammers who have posted a fake Green National Registration Card (NRC) for the Minister of information and Broadcasting, Dora Siliya and have also posted some application forms suggesting that the Honorable Minister is running an empowerment programme called Zambia Trust Fund Empowerment in Collaboration with Chanda Foundation,” Ms Katongo said.

She said investigations on the matter had been instituted.
