AIRTEL Networks Zambia Plc has announced the re-opening of its Head Office after 48 hours closure when one member of staff tested positive to COVID-19.

In a statement made available to ZANIS in Lusaka yesterday, Head of Corporate Communications Yuyo Kambikambiexplained that in line with the Ministry of Health Public Health guidelines, the entire building has since been sanitized and disinfected.

Mrs Kambikambi said the Ministry of Health has declared the premises safe to be re-opened for business to both the general public and members of staff.

She thanked Airtel customers for the continued support and well wishes it has received since the news broke out on Wednesday evening.

“We would like to assure all our customers that we will continue to put in place all relevant health protocols aimed at safeguarding both our staff and our customers during this difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic,” she added.

She further encouraged customers to use self-help portals as well as do any monetary transactions using the Airtel Money service.
