Three men accused of tying up a security Guard and stealing over 70 litres of Diesel from an HIS Tower have been committed to the High Court for trial by the Choma Magistrates Court.Pitman Nawa 32, Aubrey Moota 26 both unemployed and residents of Choma’s Mwapona Township, and Nchimunya Nsemu 36 an electrician of Batoka are jointly charged with Aggravated Robbery contrary to the Laws of Zambia.Allegations are that the three jointly and whilst acting together with others unknown stole 1 battery and 75 litres of Diesel all together valued at K2 169 from Austin Kayuni the property of IHS company.It is further alleged that the three immediately before or after stealing threatened or used actual violence on Austin Kayuni in order to obtain or retain the things stolen.When they appeared for mention before Court, Public Prosecutor Gerald Tembo informed the Court that instructions to have them committed to the High Court for trial had been received from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.Magistrate Muyambango Munukayumbwa committed the three Aggravated Robbery suspects to the Livingstone High Court for trial at its next sitting.
The three were remanded in custody.
