By NOEL IYOMBWAIN what can be described as unnatural death, two minors of Livingstone have died in a parked motor vehicle.The incident occurred on November 27, 2020 at Kabila Village in Livingstone District.Acting police spokesperson Danny Mwale said that the two died in a Toyota Corolla registration number ABM 5626 which was parked at Samuel Choongo father of one the deceased kid’s residence by a friend after it developed a mechanical fault whose name has been withheld.Mr Mwale identified the deceased children as Manase Choongo aged three and Joe Mubita aged five both of the same area.“Police in Livingstone received a report of Sudden and Unnatural death involving two minors aged 3 and 5.Brief facts of the incident are that Samuel Choongo aged 36 of Kabila Village, Linda South in Livingstone brought in and reported the death of his son identified as Manase Choongo aged three together with his neighbor’s son identified as Joe Mubita aged five both of the same area,”he said.Mr Mwale said the two juveniles were playing in the car and were only discovered dead.He further stated that it was reported that at a time of the Incident, the vehicle in question had all the doors and windows closed.“Police have opened an inquiry file and the bodies of the deceased children have been deposited in Batoka Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem,”In another development, Police in Lusaka picked up a body of a male adult who was later identified as John Sekeseke aged 35 of Mazyopa Compound in Lusaka.Mr Mwale said that facts of the matter are that the deceased reached home on November 27, 2020 around 20:00 hours and later went out without telling the wife.“Today at around 06:00 hours, a report was made by Phillip Mangelezi aged 31 of unknown house number in Kabanana Site and Service that there was a dead body near the railway line between Kabanana Site and Service and Mazyopa compound.“Police officers who rushed to the scene discovered that the body had both legs cut completely and sustained two cuts on the back of the head.
“The body has since been deposited in the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem and investigations have been instituted in the matter, “he said.
