He told the Sun that, “FAZ is aware of the challenges that lower division clubs face with sponsorship and hoped that the support would help ease their problems.”
Speaking when he handed over the kits and footballs to teams at Mansa Lodge, Mr. Kasala said the distribution is the second phase of the kits delivery programme by FAZ.
“All the 10 provinces will benefit from the kit and equipment support programme,” he stated.
Kasala has also disclosed that lower division fixtures have been condensed to two stream to clogging the fixtures in the transition league.
He said that the decision by FAZ was in response to the cries by lower division clubs that cited the short period (January to May) of the transition period.
“FAZ is also overseeing provincial assemblies that are selecting delegates to the 2019 FAZ Annual General Meeting to be held on April 13,” he said.
The FAZ team, which is led by the vice president, Rix Mweemba, is also expected to visit Northern and Muchinga Provinces to distribute the same.
