POLICE in Solwezi District in North-Western Province has arrested 52 people for patronizing drinking places contrary to the
presidential directive on COVID-19.
The suspects were picked from various drinking places during an operation conducted by the police on Saturday to check
on the compliance to COVID-19 presidential directives.
Northwestern Province Commissioner of Police Elias Chushi has confirmed that the 52 who include 28 males and 24 females were picked up from G-greens bar and restaurant and California bar and night club.
Mr Chushi said the police arrested the suspects after they were found drinking with impunity.
