Suspected poachers of Kafue have appeared in the magistrates court facing three charges including being in possession of government trophy without authority The two men of Kafue have been dragged to count on three counts.
This is a matter before magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli in which Newton Muchabakonga,31, and Alick Shula 33 of Lukolongo in Kafue have been accused of being in possession of government trophy without lawful authority. It is alleged that on July 12, Muchabakonga and Shula jointly and acting together were found in possession of firearm namely ; shotgun serial number 9102105 without a license.
On second count, accused were found hunting in a fenced private estates of Jakana farms.
On July 12, jointly and acting together Muchabakonga and Shula did hunt in the Jakana farms without consent of the farm.
And on July 12 it is alleged that they had an unlawful possession of government trophy, it is alleged that the two men were found with 101.68 bush meat without authority.
They both accepted the charge and the matter was adjourned to a later date for written facts.
