Prisoner holding metal cage in jail, no freedom concept

The Lusaka magistrates court has jailed a man 18 months imprisonment with hard for impersonating an employee of Chipata Water Trust and obtaining K1,380 from complainants.
This was in matter before magistrate Felix Kaoma.
Particulars of the offence were that Chipo Mwanza 32, a plumber of Chazanga on October 1 2020 and November 6 2020 did falsely represent himself as a public officer employed by Chipata Water Trust company to Caroline Chisanga.
In count two it is alleged that Mwannza between October 1 2020 and November 6 2020 did falsely represent himself as a public officer employed at Chipata Water Trust Company to Grace Zulu.
In count three it is alleged that Mwanza between October 1 2020 and November 6 2020 did falsely represent himself as a public officer employed at Chipata Water Trust Company to Grace Phiri.
Mwanza who is charged in six counts of impersonating of a public officer pleaded guilty to all the counts.
Magistrate: did you assume work as a person employed by Chipata Water Trust Company?
Mwanza: Yes.
Magistrate: What did you do?
Mwanza: I reconnected water at the houses of two complainants but failed to do the same for the remaining four.
Mwanza pleaded for mercy from the court saying he is unwell and his children will suffer if jailed.
He asked the court to forgive him because he has learned a lesson from his bad actions.
Magistrate Kaoma said Mwanza knew he was unwell and therefore should not have involved himself criminal acts. The court jailed Mwanza 18 months imprisonment with hard labor for all the counts
