THE Lusaka Magistrates court has ordered a boy to receive counselling at the Drug Enforcement Commission for trafficking in 1.8 grammes of marijuana.
Facts before magistrate Ruth Kapulo were that the Juvenile was found dealing in Marijuana in Chibolya compound along Gaza Street.
The boy pleaded for mercy saying he was sorry and will never use drugs again.
He asked the court for forgiveness so that he can go home and continued with his education.
His father said the offence the son committed is serious but that the court should be lenient with him.
He said he will put up strict measures and monitor his son’s movements.
Magistrate Kapulo warned the boy’s father to take his son at DEC for counseling sessions and if he doesn’t he will be answerable to the court.
The court ordered the boy to undergo counselling at DEC for 60 days.
