LINDA SOKO TEMBO Writes @SunZambian
RICHARD Katongo, from Chibombo, runs a rather interesting business.
He sells hair-weaving needles and, from this trade, he is able to look after his wife and 5 children.
Mr. Katongo says, on a good day, he makes about K200 to K300.
“This is good business,” he says.
He explained that he orders the box of needles at K48 and is able to make a profit of K52 from each box. A needle fetches K 1.00.
“Some people look down on me but I am busy making money,” says Mr. Katongo.
He urged the young people to become entrepreneurs and contribute to the development of the nation.
“I opted to sale needles rather than become a thief because it doesn’t pay,” stated Mr. Katongo.
