DEPLOY special education teachers to Chikupili primary school and many other schools in Luano district to cater for children living with disabilities, Association for the disabled district coordinator Pauline Chilekwa has appealed to government.
Ms. Chilekwa said government through the Ministry of general education should consider deploying special education teachers to the area to meet the demand of children in special education.
She said children with disabilities need special attention which they were lacking due to lack of a qualified teacher at the school.
In an interview, Ms. Chilekwa said there were over 100 children with different disabilities at Chikupili Primary school who needed to be taken care of and receive special education.

The district coordinator further called on Government to consider constructing a school in Luano for children with special needs because the number of children who requires education were many.
She added that parents were facing challenges in organising resources to sponsor children with disabilities to special schools outside the province.
Ms. Chilekwa further said children with special needs have also a right to education like able-bodied and so the need for government to provide equal opportunities for education for all.
“We are earnestly appealing to government to deploy qualified teachers at Chikupili Primary School to teach our children in special,” Ms. Chilekwa.
