GREEN Eagles is not short of key players and the team is happily intact in the super league, says Green Eagles assistant coach Alex Namazaba.
Namazaba said that the team was whole as there was just so much competition in it and players that had been used in the last few games were key ones that the team depended on..
Speaking in an interview with Sun Sports, Namazaba said his team lacked no key player in the game they played to a 1- all draw against NAPSA Stars in Choma on Wednesday.
“I don’t think we are missing any key player, this is the team which we have at the moment, these are the only players that we have, just that we have been missing chances,” he said.
He said the team resumed training yesterday ahead of tomorrow’s fixture against Forest Rangers.
His comment comes amid public concerns over some players who were instrumental to the team’s spectacular campaign in the CAF games continued missing in the line-up.
But Namazaba said on the bench he only reserved room for one goal keeper, one defender and the rest should be strikers.
Veteran defenders Matteo Ndashe ,Gift Wamundila and have now been joined by Spencer Sautu,Tapson Kaseba,Anos Tembo and George Chaloba who all had been relegated to the bench in Eagle’s last few games.
Namazaba said that his team was not under any pressure having drawn with NAPSA at home on Wednesday but would instead go to the drawing board and prepare for the games ahead starting with Saturday’s game against Forest Rangers.
